Nippon Express NEC Logistics (Shanghai) Ltd. has been certified Advanced Certified Enterprise (ACE) of China AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) system.
Nippon Express NEC Logistics (Shanghai) Ltd. (President: Takeshi Nakamura, hereinafter referred to as NECL Shanghai), a local subsidiary of Nittsu NEC Logistics, Ltd. (President and Chief Executive Officer: Shinji Waragai), has been awarded certification as an Advanced Certified Enterprise (ACE), the highest status under China’s AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) classification system, by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Customs in China.
*AEO (Authorized Economic Operator): A system in which customs certifies businesses that have established cargo security management and legal compliance systems, and provides benefits such as rapid, simplified customs procedures and security-related preferential treatment.

NECL Shanghai had been certified under China’s old system also, but in July of 2023 it was certified as an Advanced Certified Enterprise (ACE) of China AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) system under the new system.
The AEO system, which is based on the new customs credit management measures for enterprises of China Customs, involves strict examinations according to evaluation criteria such as “internal control”, “financial status”, “legal compliance”, and “trade security”. Depends on the assessment under the evaluation criteria, the enterprises are determined the status of an enterprise from three broad categories: “Advanced Certified Enterprise (ACE)”, “Others: General enterprise” which would be applied normal measure of customs procedure, and “Discredited enterprise”.
Although the examination period was prolonged due to the COVID pandemic, we have now officially received certification.
As a result, we are now able to receive benefits such as a low inspection rates, priority in processing customs clearance procedures, and shorten customs clearance lead times, making it possible to provide more reliable and high-quality logistics services for our customers.
NECL Shanghai will continue to manage in accordance with certification evaluation standards and strive to provide logistics services that support our customers’ supply chains to be more efficient, agile, optimized and sustainable.
